Event Timing

The 2008 Hyannis Marathon, Half Marathon, 10Km & Marathon Team Relay will be timed by Granite State Race Services using Chip Timing.

The ChampionChip system will be used for timing and scoring. The ChampionChip system begins timing once you cross the Start Line and stops once you cross the Finish Line, enabling us to provide the precise time that it takes you to complete the 26.2, 13.1 & 6.2 mile courses.

Each Hyannis Marathon, Half Marathon, 10Km & Marathon Team Relay runner will receive a ChampionChip timing device, which is matched with your runner information and bib number, at bib number pick-up. This timing device must be attached to the runner's shoe and each runner is responsible for returning the chip to volunteers near the Finish Line following the race.

A $35.00 charge will be assessed to the runner if the chip is not returned. Additional details will be provided at bib number pick-up. Runners who own a ChampionChip may register the chip with the race at the on-site location or by entering the chip number on the mail-in entry form provided on this site or with the on-line credit card registration form. Results will be made available following each race in the Resort & Conference Center at Hyannis Ballroom.
